Went to a podiatrist after spraining both ankles walking on ice covered street. Suffered weeks before going in.One ankle just continued to hurt. Dr prescribed steroid pills and this brace. I got one from the Dr.. Later I found Amazon had this brace which is an exact match for what the Dr sold me. So now I have two of them. They really helped stabilize my ankles and fit inside my walking shoes. Problem solved after a couple weeks. I also found they greatly helped my plantar faciatis foot pain. I even wore them to bed at night.A little of a pain in the neck to lace up, but after a couple weeks, I got the hang of it and it isn't very hard to put on. Taking off you really need to loosen the laces quite a bit.It isn’t the most comfortable.. to bulky to fit in boots .. it might do it’s job but gotta find some shoes it would fit inWorks great. Protect your ankle. Comfortable and can wear with shoes. Best brace I have purchased.I have similar items that I wear intermittently over 8 years. The straps are tearing after 8 years I was unable to find the same brand and tried this one. It dugged in my leg and left a gash. I even tried added Kleenex to provide cushion but I still felt it digging in my leg. There is a plastic band in the construction that I don’t feel isn’t necessary since my old Brand gave perfect comfort without a plastic band. Sadly it tookMe awhile to try it and cannot return it since the return date has past?It is comfortable to wear, and I've been through enough of these to know this one is the best so far.I have never used an ASO brace before this but I wish I had. I have tarsal tunnel and this brace helps to keep my foot in the correct alignment while sitting, standing, and walking. The brace itself is very sturdy and holds up pretty well. I’ve been using it for a month or so now and so far so good! The only thing I would change is the position or of the bottom foot strap to higher up or wider.Bought after ankle dislocation from accident, provides good support, wears comfortably and fits in most of my shoes and bootsThis is slippery when worn by itself.
