The back of the boots rub on the back of the heel. Expected better fitI walked through the airport, walked all over rural Ireland streets and byways in this shoe. I've been plagued by plantar fasciitis since spring and thanks to orthotics, it's nearly healed, but wearing these on a trip where i'd be walking a lot was the real test. I bought these for 3 reasons: They had to have removable insoles, had Gore Tex leather and they had to be stylish as well as comfortable. This boot checked off all those boxes, plus was lightweight as well. So easy to remove at the airport, a plus! ECCO fan forever!Well made, light weight, comfortable boots. Stepped in large puddle, boots stayed dry and warm.These fit tight out of the box, no breaking in at all. Comfort from day one. To those who are having a hard time getting the boot on , use the tabs, both at the same time to slip foot in. It’s a learning curve but once you get it, you get it. Then your foot is hugged and waterproofed. Love these boots. Quality and craftsmanship is superb!These boots are awesome! I have been looking for shoes that won’t make my feet hurt and where I can walk far without them hurting me.I have siactic issues and am usually only able to wear Brooks so I took a chance and ordered them and have been able to wear them and not have any severe pain!They look very stretchy and like they would be easy to put on but they're not! They are waterproof though and very comfortable. The leather is also not as smooth as I hoped - the grain is not smooth like dress shoes. They are more casual than I wanted but they were so comfortable that I kept them.I have narrow feet and these boots were hard to put on. I returned them.I love ecco shoes, I bought these in my usual size, when they arrived and I tried them on the length fit as it supposed to but they are on the narrow side, I have average size width feet. If you have wide feet or like me average I’d give them a miss, only but if you have narrow feetI wear ECCO footwear all the time, the fit and style suit me for medical reasons but these are the most comfortable shoe/boot I have ever worn. ECCO have made the perfect boot in this one I bought a second pair!The quality of the boots is impeccable with beautifully soft leather and they look really comfortable...however I couldn’t pull them on! Unfortunately I couldn’t see that ordering a larger size would have helped. A great pity but I have had to return themECCO boots and shoes are a must for me,as I have arthritis in my feet. The boots are comfortable and support my feet and ankles. This is my second pair and they are great,Look very smart abd comfortable.
