Upon just mere inspection, the quality of the materials used and the workmanship are superb. But I can't tell if the stacked heels are truly stacked, solid leather slabs or if they are just of a hollow core covered and made to appear stacked and solid as is done with less expensive leather booties.I have thin feet and ankles but I needed to stretch out the toe area and the top circumference area on both pairs. After walking in them for about 4 hours, the joint of my toes were sore from rubbing, even while wearing socks. I am unable to wear ankle no-show socks because the top circumference area rubs against and irritates my skin when I walk. I will need to cut out a strip of craft foam sheet and glue it along the inside top circumference of the bootie to keep its unsmooth edge from rubbing and scratching my skin. These are pretty booties, but they require extra time and work to be able to wear them comfortably☹. I was NOT able to wear them straight out of the box without sustaining corns on the top of my smaller toes and painful scratches on my skin. Only AFTER I forcibly stretched them out where more room was needed and pad the inner top edge with a strip of craft foam sheet were they fine and comfortable to wear.I can't fault this boot for my skinny ankles. The size fits perfectly and there is definitely room for thick socks. The color is exactly as shown and gorgeous, a really nice alternative to black or brown boots. Plus, the price was also attractive. This was my first attempt at Frye boots of any type and unfortunately, they have to go back due to the top front of this boot pressing into the front of my ankle. Each time I bend my foot the top of the boot digs in. There is no way I can break this part of the boot in. I'm not sure it can even be done? Since the rest of the boot fit so great, I think a regular knee-high boot would be the way to go for me. The hunt is on.Beautiful, thick leather. They do run a half size long. The graphite is lovely and very unique. The cognac was pretty too but more casual looking and definitely fit tighter. The graphite was a more glossy finish and I felt like they would handle rain a bit better. Oh, and they are slippery but I assume the soles will roughen up with wear as they are leather. You can always buy tread too if needed. These are my first pair of Frye boots and they are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. The Frye Carson Piping bootie is a wardrobe staple. You can feel and even smell the quality. Am I the only one who loves the smell of fresh leather when you open a box of new boots? Maybe just me? Anyways, these boots are made for years of great wear. I bought the graphite leather, and it's gorgeous. The piping is one simple curvy line on the outer aspect of the boot, it's a minimalist style. I wear size 7's in most shoes and these were a tad too large so back they go, but maybe I should consider a 6 1/2 as the 7's made my foot look too long. I tend to lean towards boots with lots of pizazz like the Frye Ray Harness boot, but these would make a great, versatile boot.Gorgeous boots. I personally wish they had a rubber sole instead of leather but I will probably add a half sole to protect them. Overall I really like the look and color.Beware: TSB Products! I was approved for a return on some Frye Boots that were too sloshy on my wife’s narrow heel. They charged me $120.00 restocking fee! This is a totally unreasonable overcharge for a clothing item; in unworn, perfect condition. There was NO free 7-day try-on period. Period. What a rip! They look great and are so comfortableDid I mention that I love these boots ? Fit true to size, comfortable right off the start line and stylish. I get so many compliments when I wear these boots. They look great with jeans and they are oh so comfy. Frye doesn't disappoint, great fit, great look, great quality !Received these and returned for replacement as they are not the colour on the website or Frye website. Replacement pair also not the correct colour. Arrived in a light brown with no dark shading as pictured. The leather is also different than described. Kept the second pair because the price was good on sale but disappointed to exchange and have the same mistake again. Must be old Frye stock.Beautiful boots, perfect fit. I run between an 8.5 and 9. I followed someone recommended to go on the smaller fit as the boots run a bit long. At first was a tighter fit width wise but after 2 wears fits like a glove.
