These are the real deal Birkenstocks. They are stylish (if you appreciate the Birkenstock "look") and comfortable with lots of toe room. But, they are not overly wide in the toe box.Please note though that if you have only worn Birkenstock Arizona sandals and /or Boston clogs that these boots have a very low heel rather than having the heel cup of the other two styles. I do feel the difference where the boot feels like it slants you forward rather than leaning a bit back with the Arizona and Boston. I have arthritic knees and hips so I am perhaps more aware of the difference in the styles.I prefer the feel of the heel cup but I don't find the boot heel height uncomfortable and expect that as I wear them they will form to my feet like my other Birkenstocks and the heel will become less noticeable. I plan on getting a lot of good use from my boots and have no hesitation recommending this style to anyone who loves Birkenstocks or Newbies who wish to try out what I consider the best shoe company on the market.
